Contracts & IP
Writers and Producers sometimes need help in understanding fully the legalese of a contract. I offer a legal guidance service that fills the gap between confusion and visiting an entertainment lawyer. Talk to me before you sign your contract, afterwards may be too late!
If you are unsure of your IP rights, I can help clear up who owns what.
It is my experience that many disputes are the result of a lack of communication, and therefore also offer a service as an independent mediator in entertainment industry disputes.
I hold a certificate in Entertainment law from The University of Johannesburg and have 40 years of experience in the entertainment arena, working as both employer and employee. I have also provided internal legal guidance to the Writers Guild of South Africa for many years.

If you are interested in using this service, I offer an introductory Basic Legal Guidance Session for R 500.00 (This is a conversation on Skype – or equivalent – of duration no longer than 30 minutes. Included is an allocation of no more than 30 minutes of my time to peruse any relevant documentation prior to the discussion.) If this is not enough time to address your needs, we can then decide on a way forward.
