The production schedule is as much a psychological tool as it is a logistical one and it should be not only a blueprint for expenditure on a production, but a tool that creates a positive and productive set. Everything costs money. How you spend it and how much ends up on the screen starts with the production schedule. A good schedule saves money; a bad one costs the production more money than is necessary and often results in a bad experience for everyone involved.

Preparation of a script for scheduling and the various departments is a vital job that requires loads of experience and intuition. This is a good place to start.
